So there's been tons of topics about the things going on inside YOUR promotion, but what about the competition? What's going on with the other promotions in your game?
As for me, I'm playing the NWA: Domination scenario as NWA: Detroit, Michigan. I decided to make the game interesting and start with all the companies having no owners except Vince McMahon and Dusty Rhodes, who own NWA: East Coast and NWA: Texas. This is what's happening.
NWA: Canadian Stampede
Owned By: Bret Hart (Sort of a coincidence, eh?)When Bret took over, every member of his family that worked in the company left except for Jim Neidhart. The promotion's biggest stars, Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit, also left. So now Bret is the top star in his company, and it seems everyone else is left in the dust. The only other big stars in the company are Edge and Trish Stratus. Also, everyone on the roster is canadian except for Tiger Mask, who must stick out like a sore thumb.
NWA: East Coast
Owned By: Vince McMahonEast Coast is one of the three companies in the game who have a TV Show. At the beginning they had a show on USA but it was dropped and now they have a late evening slot on MTV, and are second in the TV rankings. (I'm First) Triple H, Shane McMahon, Vince McMahon, and Shawn Michaels are their top stars, (

) and after a two month war they drove NWA: Hardcore City (Owned By Paul Heyman) and NWA: Athletic Arts (Owned by Jim Crockett) out of business. They are also on the verge of putting NWA: Hawaii out of business.
NWA: Hawaii
Owned By: Jim Crockett (That's right, he got a new job after losing NWA: AA)It's not really NWA: Hawaii anymore. It's more like the sucky twin of NWA: East Coast. The only real members of the 'Samoan Family' left are Rikishi and Rocky Johnson Jr. (The Rock). The rest of the roster, besides The Sandman, Raven, and Shane Helms, are horrible.
NWA: Los Angeles
Owned By: Hulk HoganThey have perhaps the worst roster in the game. Their main stars are Jerry Lynn, who is a non-wrestler, Jeff Hardy, La-Parka and a bunch of unknowns. I mean really, why in the world are these companies using these crappy guys instead of signing stars like Chris Jericho, Booker T, Tajiri, Chris Benoit, and Matt Hardy, who are unemployed with NO commitments? I'm planning on buying these guys out just as soon as I raise enough money to back up my plan.
NWA: Mexico City
Owned By: (Guess Who?) KonnanThey are the number one promotion in the game, and have a star packed roster. However, they have entered a war with NWA: Texas and it looks like Texas may prevail. The only thing wrong with MC's roster is Sid Vicious who really doesn't fit in at all. The company is basically led by Eddie Guererro, who is 100 over.
NWA: Strong Style
Owned By: Shane McMahonOnce again, a very bad roster. Their only worker worth noting is Steve Corino. A weird little thing, though, is that Dusty Rhodes is under written contract to them. They are on the verge of going bankrupt.
NWA: Texas
Owned by: Dusty RhodesAbout to become the number one promotion in the game, NWA: Texas is actually led by real texans. Well...mostly. Terry Funk, Steve Austin, Mean Mark Calloway, Ric Flair and John Bradshaw are their biggest stars. They have a TV deal with MTV on Wednesdays in the graveyard timeslot.
As for my promotion, it's owned by none other than SUPER DRAGON.

Yeah, not much is going on in my game. What about your's?

Charisma League Wrestling
Owned by John Collins
This is the worst promotion. Backyard promotion. I've been trying to help them out but they just suck. :S
Diamond Dust Wrestling
Owned by Jim Crockett
Led by Mike Barton and Michael Modest they are the newest promotion. Only a month old but they seem to be dominating the wrestling world.
Empire Combat Academy
Owned by Denis Condrey
The number 5 promotion. Has a few great workers. Led by Mr. T and Rikishi which aren't so good.
Extreme Championship Wrestling
Owned by Paul Heyman
They have been through everything. They've beaten NYCW and a couple others but have lost to WCW, WWF, XPW, and SGC.
New York City Wrestling
Owned by Les Thatcher
Led by Eric Angle and Roadkill they just lost a war to ECW.
Rings of Fire
Owned by Eric Embry
A small backyard fed. Nothing to say about them really.
Springfield Grappling Company
Owned by Jerry Jarrett
Number four promotion. Led by Chyna they have recently defeated ECW in war but they recently lost to ECA and XPW.
World Championship Wrestling
Owned by Ted Turner
The WCW is at war with WWF and it's about ready to go against XPW. The top five wresters are Hogan, Goldberg, Bret Hart, Flair, and Sting.
World Wrestling Federation
Owned by Vincent K. McMahon
The number one promotion, former employer, the WWF keeps destroying WCW, ECW, and many others. It has good workers but they fired most of there over workers which sucks for them. The top five workers are Jericho, Matt Hardy, HHH, Mysterio, and Charlie Haas.
Xtreme Pro Wrestling
Owned by Rob Black
This is my promotion. I'm number three in the country, I run at a global level and I'm bracing for war with the WCW. We have the most over + talented workers so hopefully we can take down WWF aswell. Undertaker, Seven, Bautista, The Prototype, and Eric Bischoff are the top five workers.

I'm playing a great WCW 1998 game currently, as my ONLY competition is the World Wrestling Federation. That's right, WCW and WWF are the only wrestling promotions in the world!
ECW was struggling, so i bought it and made some of it's talent very over (Taz, Chris Candido, Little Guido), but almost everybody else got fired. A promotion named Danger And Violence Extreme = DAVE opened in February, but as April was over, those pathetic suckers were put out of job... by me. I didn't buy them, i chosed the "Corporate Destruction"

DAVE was, however, a very risky promotion and now that ECW is gone too, there is like nothing extreme in wrestling anymore, thanks to TBS; Thunder sucks and the risk level there is 37%. I'm gonna get rid of that deal very soon, Thunder has 5 weeks left of contract.
I just hope some new promotion would open again, so that i could destroy them again. Or let them live. The most unhappy thing is, that
IF any new federation won't open and the WWF starts to struggle, the game will get very boring. WWF is currently at 12% Public Image (mine is 17%, it went down thanks to our war. Hey, it was 3% once) and i got Cactus Jack from them.

Recreated H2PW(Started March 2005, Now at Jan 2007
WWE - Owned by Linda McMahon (Global, 93%)
Never got a serious threat for their no. 1 place in the wrestling industry. TNA threatened to take over, but fell down the order before they even made an impact. ROH is currently attempting to bring down WWE.
ROH - Owned by Cary Silken (Global, 55%)
With their 3 TV deals, they shot to 2nd place, beating out TNA both on star power, quality of workers and production values. Currently challenging WWE.
TNA - Owned by Dixie Carter (Global, 20%)
Hired The Rock, went close to threatening WWE. All fell apart when ROH became global. Lost Impact(TV show) sometime in 2006.
IWA-PR - Owned by Victor Quinonez (National, 8%)
Became a strong national fed based on their 2 TV shows, Mick Foley and Steve Corino. Recently pulled down from 35% PI to 8% PI after a war with my fed.
LATMF - Owned by Rick Bassman (National, 6%)
Formed in late 05/early 06. Dropped down to Cult status before gaining PI and jumping right back up. Beaten in every way by IWA-PR before IWA-PR was beaten by my fed.
NWA: OSR - Owned by Jamie Jamitkowski (Backyard, 64%)
Newest fed to open. In its second month now. Nothing worthy to talk about :shifty: Oh yeah, their top star is Michael Hart, who is in my development camp :)
TCW - Owned by Donnie B (Backyard, 42%)
Opened for the past 11 months. Their lack of stars make them unknown.

My promotion is a created at Cult fed called IPW (International Pro Wrestlling). I'm currently at 10% Global readying myself for a war with the WWE. Competition =
WWE - World Wrestling Entertainment.
Top Stars:
Kurt Angle
Chris Jericho
The Undertaker
Batista
Triple H
TNA challenged them and was knocked back down to National. I fueded with TNA and beat them in every way. They lost their IMPACT show and fell to CULT level. I bought them out to recieve such stars as The Rock, Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Jeff Jarrett etc... This was done as a temporary way to help my "over talent" against WWE. I re-signed everyone to one year contracts and have already started jobbing pretty much all of the TNA talent to mine bar a few (Rock, Daniels and a couple of others.) I've also stolen some talent from WWE, Matt Hardy, Booker T, Rhyno and Christian.
NWCW - New World Championship Wrestling
Top Stars:
Jim Cornette
Sabu
Andrew Martin
Satoshi Kojima
Frank Shamrock
They opened up at 50% National. They were at war with me from day one, i preety much killed their fed and knocked them down to National 10% before the war ended. Not a very talented roster.
RoH - Ring of Honour
Top Stars:
Homicide
Low Ki
Jeremy Horn
Spanky
Bryan Danielson
I should've never let Homicide go...lol. They've risen up to National and are at war with NWCW, i think they'll win, they definitely have the better talent and production values are equal.

Started May 2005, now at May 2007
CWA: Run by Matt Laurent (my fed) National 34% PI
Main stars : The Rock ,AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, Orlando Jordan (100 Over) Monty Brown,
started out as a backyard fed and i slowly made my way up to national. Had to buy out CZW to get some of my big name people when I was at Cult level. Signed The Rock to a 220,000 dollar written contract after the WWE released him
21st Century Wrestling: Run by Paul Orndorff National 10% PI
Main Stars: Sid Viscious, Juvi Guerrera, Roddy Piper, Donovan Morgan, Bryan Daneilson
Started in late '05. They skyrocketed at first and were a major threat to ROH and TNA but are slowly dying down, probably due to the slump the buisnes is in right now.
East Coast Wrestling Association: Run by Jim Kettner Regional 61% PI
Main stars: Jeremy Lopez, Shocker, Alan Funk, Flash, Ricky Reyes
meh, not much has happened with this fed, they slowly are rising up the rankings..but VERY SLOWLY. Not much of a threat to anyone
Federation De Lutte Internationale: Run by Kevin Sullivan National 2% PI
Main Stars: Jerry Lynn, Ken Shamrock, Kaz Hayashi, Bryan Danielson, La Parka
This fed is not much of a threat to the CWA due to their lack of star power but they could make one or two big hirings and I'd have competition but as of right now they're nothing.
Golden Canvas Grappling: Run by Hiro Hase Cult 96% PI
Main Stars: Raven, EZ Money, Scott Hall, Homicide, Doug Williams
Started out as a threat to the ROH and nearly put them out of buisness but started to slowly decline. With stars like Raven and Scott Hall they will be a serious threat once they reach National Level.
NWA Canadian Invasion: Run by Unkown National 29% PI
Main Stars: Mens Teioh, Chris Candido
They literally just started out and are a serious threat to my company if they continue to hire good performers like the two they already have.
NWA:TNA: Run by Jerry Jarret Global 61% PI
Main Stars: Jeff Jarret, Hulk Hogan, Kane, Sting, Vince Russo
TNA is making big progress picking up almost everyone the WWE lets go..the big one they got was Kane. I attempted to get him but ended up breaking it off because I couldn't pay him 300,000 every month so TNA picked him up. They also have Colt Cabana, Steve Corino, and Mary Jannety. They will hopefully put the WWE out of buisness in the next few years with their rise in popularity.
NWA Wildside: Run by Frank Murdoch Cult 86% PI
Main Stars: Amazing Red, Juvi Guerrera, Jody Fleish, Donovan Morgan, Kaz Hayashi
They used to be a mid-size global company but are slowly dying out and looks like they'll be in financial trouble in a little while. Might attempt to buy them out if they get too deep in it to get some of their talent.
Ring Of Honor: Run by Rob Feinstein National 79% PI
Main Stars: Kid Kash, Jody Fleish, Chris Cash, CW Anderson, Five Star Flash
Used to be at Global and at war with TNA but TNA knocked them down a couple of notches and they're back at National now slowly making their way back to the Global level
United States Pro Wrestling: Run by Dusty Rhodes Cult 86% PI
Main Stars: Francine, CW Anderson, Tony Mamaluke, Johnny Smith, Akio
Started out about 8 months ago and are makin their way up to National quickly, not much talent or star power so I'm not worried about them right now.
WWE: Run by Linda McMahon Global 100% PI
Main Stars: Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit, Kurt Angle, Brock Lesnar, Shawn Michaels.
You know the deal with the WWE, always on top and always 100 pi. They aren't at war with TNA right now but I'm hoping they will be soon so TNA can knock them off of the #1 spot.
the rest of the companies in my game died out and went bankrupt. I didnt bother to save them cause I'm only worried about my fed. Here is the top feds in my game.

#2 TNA

My WWE SmackDown! game (at the end of the year 2006)
Many current in real life wrestling federations have gone bankcrupt already, but not as many as I thought in the beginning of the game. Here's some info about other feds:
Border City Wrestling
National 8%
Owner: Ed Hellier (does not have a definitive style)
Risk: 50%
Top 5 stars: Orlando Jordan, Gangrel, Sabu, Kazushi Sakuraba, Shannon Moore
BCW is great alternative fed with lots of talented workers. However, their 3 out of 5 top stars are from my SmackDown fed. If I fire some of my wrestlers, it's probably BCW which offers them a job. This fed has shoot fighters and UV wrestlers, but most of all they have great indy wrestlers. Think that's the key for their success: they offer something to all kinds of wrestling fans.
CyberSpace Wrestling Federation
National 10%
Owner: Bill Hawkins (old-school style promoter)
Risk: 40%
Top 5 stars: Genichiro Tenryu, Andrei Kopilov, Michaels Shane, Stan Lane, Robert Gibson
This federation has all kinds of old school wrestlers. There are couple of old luchadores like Fuerza Guerrera, Rey Mysterio Sr. and Mil Mascaras, couple of former succesfull tag team wrestlers like Nikolai Volkoff, Robert Gibson, Stevie Ray and Typhoon. Also respected nowaday wrestlers like Axl Rotten and Genichiro Tenryu can be seen in this fed. And most of all, CSWF has great future stars. It's strange that so many young talents can be seen in this old school promotion. Names like Michaels Shane, Julio Dinero and Slyk Wagner Brown will have great role in this federation.
Diamond Dust Wrestling
Regional 49%
Owner: Rob Black (tends to hire lots of brawlers)
Risk: 70%
Top 5 stars: Julio Dinero, Ichiro Yaguchi, Kaz Hayashi, Pete Spratt, Chaparrita ASARI
Yet another international fed, but even though the owner tends to hire brawlers, this fed has and awesome high flying and technical roster as well. If there isn't going to big a big slump in wrestling business and DDW can keep their budget above zero and risk level high, this new fed is going to make it all the way to the top. Chris Stylez, Sonjay Dutt, Super Dragon and Jimmy Jacobs are great potential young wrestlers, and if they were given some time in the ring, it will drive the crowd nuts. DDW has alot of different Japanese stars, too. Ichiro Yaguchi, Kaz Hayashi, Tomoaki Honma and NOSAWA are their main Japanese stars. Former Ohio Valley Wrestling's stars Da Beast and Harley Lewis are DDW's brawling elite.
Heartland Wrestling Association
Cult 99%
Owner: Les Thatcher (likes to build around technical wrestlers)
Risk: 35%
Top 5 stars: AJ Styles, Hiromitsu Kanehara, Ryan Gracie, Steve Corino, Johnny Smith
This great fed has lot of shoot wrestlers, but pro wrestlers are their top stars as you can see from top 5 stars. This fed is about half/half American indy wrestlers and shooters, but there are also couple of luchas (El Hijo Del Santo and Juvi Guerrera) and Japs (Sho Funaki and HEAT). HWA has a big roster at the moment. The company is about to rise to National level and I don't think their success is going to end when they reach that level, as HWA has a lot of money at the moment.
International Wrestling Cartel
National 36%
Owner: Gary Yapp (likes to build around technical wrestlers)
Risk: 10%
Top 5 stars: Kazushi Sakuraba, Low-Ki, Bryan Danielson, Chris Hero, AJ Styles
Cartels might be illegal, but that isn't the point here. This federation filled with great young technical wrestlers and indy stars has a potential to go through the roof! Most of IWC's workers are stiff wrestlers with giid brawling and technical wrestling skills. This fed has very many names in their active roster.
NWA: Total Nonstop Action
Global 22%
Owner: Jerry Jarrett (goes for Sports-Entertainment rather than pure wrestling)
Risk: 65%
Top 5 stars: Bret Hart, Stephanie McMahon, Glenn Gilberti, Dustin Rhodes, Sid Vicious
Well, TNA is that global fed which isn't going to be the best. Stucked in at 22% PI, this fed filled with 40+ years old workers is going to be DOOMED~! And yeah, I'm glad to say that McMahon reign is over. Steph went to TNA in the beginning of the year 2006, and Vince is on RAW and Shane is on SmackDown!. TNA still is one of the "big three" in the world, but not for long if I'm right.
NWA: Wildside
Regional 26%
Owner: Bill Behrens (likes to build around technical wrestlers)
Risk: 40%
Top 5 stars: Jason Cross, Adam Windsor, Chris Michaels, Joey Ryan, Anthony LaGotto
This fed has lots of very little over great technical indy wrestlers, but still NWA: Wildside's budget reads minus. This is going to be next federation which will fall. National Wrestling Alliance's reign will surely be over soon. With only 2 NWAs, after couple of moths only 1 NWA, and because the McMahon family is separated, new era of wrestling will arrive soon.
PileDriver Wrestling
Regional 43%
Owner: Andrew McManus (old-school style promoter)
Risk: 20%
Top 5 stars: Michaels Shane, Mr. Pogo, Joey Kaos, Keith Rockel, Chaparrita ASARI
This fed is almost similar with CyberSpace Pro Wrestling, except I think CSPW has a way better roster than PDW. PDW is a newcomer in wrestling business. This fed may not have so bright future ahead. With small roster of 22 men, PDW is saving money and presenting some slugfests with old school brawlers like Hercules Ayala, Nikolai Volkoff, Nikita Koloff and Typhoon. PDW shares a lot f wrestlers with CSPW, and that's not a good thing for them. Izzy, Joey Kaos, Hardcore Homo Angel and especially Mr. Pogo are the craziest son-of-a-bitches in PDW roster. All of whom could make great deathfull and sometimes good wrestling matches, if the fed only would rise their risk level.
United States Pro Wrestling
National 85%
Owner: Andrew Shallcross (does not have a definitive style)
Risk: 22%
Top 5 stars: Masato Tanaka, Frank Shamrock, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, Tito Ortiz, Marcus Bagwell
One of the biggest federations today is USPW. The owner Andrew Shallcross has done amazing job so far and USPW is still rising! USPW's great technical and shooting divisions are the reason why the fed is has risen as high as it is now. USPW has a cool, big roster. Shooters like Tito Ortiz, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, Frank Shamrock, Jarrell Venetiaan and Igor Vovchanchyn are their most valuable brawlersm. Technical
wrestling stars of the company are Bryan Danielson, Chris Hero, Scoot Andrews and
Jerry Lynn. And finally the Japanese phenoms TAKA Michinoku and Kenta Kobashi are both in USPW's roster! It's not a miracle that this fed is going for the global soon!
World League Wrestling
Small 77%
Owner: Harley Race (tends to hire lots of brawlers)
Risk: 45%
Top 5 stars: Kevin Northcutt, Assak, Molsonn, Superstar Steve, Buck Quartermain
"The King" Harley Race, with all his millions, still can't get his fed out of the bottom mud. With only 16 names on the roster this task isn't easy. Somebody has to tell Race to hire one or two big stars if he wants to break it through to the Regional class.
WWE RAW
Global 60%

RAW has a good, entertaining roster filled with such talented wrestlers. It still takes a great boom period in wrestling business if RAW wants to challenge SmackDown again. Though RAW has more star power than SmackDown!, they have worse talent and TV shows. While SmackDown is 94-100 PI, RAW circles in at 60%. SmackDown continues stealing their stars.

Man, it's very hard to keep track of my competition anymore. I played a few more days and got my CZW back up to 10% National. That was enough to get me up to #2. I have about 5 other feds as National with about the same PI so a couple days later when I fell down to 4%, I was back down again. The WWE may be top dog but I got some cutthroat competition with ROH, BCW, NWA:TNA (the last two keep going in and out between Cult and National) and a few others.
